Prepare area first by making sure surface is dry, clean and free from any dust particles.
This will help make sure the sealant bonds to applied area and no dust and dirt smears into silicone.
Cut the nozzle to right size for the junctions you are caulking.
Applying the right amount of silicone will make it easier to trowel off.
Try to fill the gap with an even bead of silicone, no one wants to clean excess silicone off!!
It is common to spray the area before troweling off excess silicone, this will prevent silicone spreading and
sticking to unwanted areas. I find diluted non citrus Morning Fresh dishwashing liquid works well to
help trowel off and leaves a smooth finish.
Ensure silicone dry’s for 24 hours before cleaning or using the area.
Be careful when choosing cleaning products around any caulked areas, some products can damage the silicone.
Always read instructions or product data sheet before use.
Remember caulking makes the whole area looked finished you will want this to be spot on!
